Kansas‘ win over FloridaAtlantic…

…makes Kansas 6-0 for the first time since the 2004-05 season when the Jayhawks opened the year 14-0 and the 27th time in school history.

…makes Kansas 1-0 against Florida Atlantic and 15-2 against current membership of the Sun Belt Conference.

…improves Kansas head coach Bill Self to 111-29 while at Kansas and 318-134 overall.

…marks Kansas’ 602nd all-time win in Allen Fieldhouse. The Jayhawks are now 602-106 all-time in the facility and 6-0 in Allen Fieldhouse this season.

Game Notes

–Kansas held Florida Atlantic to 31 percent shooting. The Jayhawks have held five of six opponents to under 50 percent shooting and 77 of its last 80 opponents.

–Kansas has shot better than 50 percent from the field in all six games this season including 57 percent against FAU.

–During the first half, junior Mario Chalmers shot 1.000 percent from the floor going 4-for-4, including 3-for-3 from the 3-point arc.

–Junior Mario Chalmers had three 3-pointers, his second time this season with two or more treys.

–Senior Darnell Jackson started his first game of the 2007-08 season.
