POSITION TITLE: Horizontal Jumps Track Coach

STARTING DATE: January 1, 2007 or as soon as possible

APPOINTMENT: Full-time

DUTIES: Responsible for all aspects of student-athletes involved in horizontal jumps including recruitment, coaching and the design of a strength program. Assist the head coach with the successful administration of the track and field program working with academically and athletically qualified student-athletes, communicating the goals and objectives of the program.

QUALIFICATIONS:

REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree. Minimum of one-year horizontal jump coaching experience. Possess knowledge of and commitment to following NCAA rules. Proven integrity and leadership skills, thorough knowledge of selected events and ability to teach and motivate student-athletes at a Division I level.

PREFERRED: Three years experience as an intercollegiate track and field coach. Possess knowledge and experience designing a strength program and in recruiting at the college level.
