MADISON, Wis. –

The University of Wisconsin opened the second half with a 19-2 run and never looked back, defeating the University of Kansas, 68-41, Sunday afternoon in Madison, Wis. KU’s record drops to 4-2 on the season while the Badgers improve to 8-1.

Wisconsin’s Jolene Anderson and Janese Banks paced the Badgers with 15 points each. Anderson led all players with nine rebounds. Despite pulling down two more rebounds in the first half, Kansas was outrebounded 40-33 in the game.

Freshman Sade Morris was KU’s lone player to score double-figures with 10. The Jayhawks shot just 30-percent from the field and committed 20 turnovers resulting in 24 Badger points.

Kansas will return home Wednesday, Dec. 6 against South Dakota State, beginning a three-game home stand. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. at Allen Fieldhouse.
