Kansas Football Signs Dylan Admire And Darrian Miller

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Dylan Admire, an all-state lineman from Blue Valley West High School in Overland Park, Kan. and Darrian Miller, an all-state running back from Blue Springs High School in Blue Springs, Mo., have signed letters of intent at Kansas it was announced by KU head coach Turner Gill Friday.

Both players will graduate high school in December and join the Kansas football program in January.

A 6-3, 265-pound offensive lineman, Admire was an all-state first-team selection as a junior and is expected to earn that honor again this season. He was a first-team all-Eastern Kansas League pick as a junior as well. This past fall he registered 67 pancake blocks.

Admire has been ranked as the second-best lineman in the state and the number six-ranked player in the state by Rivals.com. Nationally, he is listed as the 27th-best guard.

“We are extremely excited to have Dylan join our family here in January,” Gill said. “He is an intelligent student-athlete with great athletic prowess. He shows that he has a passion for the game and a sense of pride in his performance. Dylan has all the tools needed to develop into a solid football player here at the University of Kansas.”

Miller, a 5-10, 190-pound running back, was named the Missouri Gatorade Player of the Year as a junior in 2009 after rushing for 2,798 yards and scoring 37 touchdowns for the state runners-up. This past season Miller ran for 2,226 yards and 30 touchdowns. He posted six 200-yard games in helping Blue Valley to a 9-3 record in 2010.

He is ranked as the 23rd best running back in the nation by Rivals.com

“We are extremely excited to have Darrian join our family,” Gill said. “He has a great passion for the game and a mind for it as well. Darrian has excellent speed and vision. He is extremely elusive and can break the game open on any play. We look forward to his arrival here on campus and his development as a student-athlete here at the University of Kansas.”
