Dec. 5, 2009

LOS ANGELES, Calif. –

In preparation for its contest versus UCLA on Sunday, the University of Kansas men’s basketball team practiced at a private residence Saturday afternoon, where the team was visited by NBA legend Jerry West.

West, who played 14 seasons with the Los Angeles Lakers and whose silhouette is featured on the NBA logo, addressed the Jayhawks prior to practice. After an inspiring speech from West, the team went to work for two hours on a Lakers’ adorned court.

Kansas will face UCLA Sunday at 4:30 p.m. CST in the Big 12/Pac-10 Hardwood Series on Fox Sports Network.
