Diving Signs Two

LAWRENCE, Kan. — The Kansas Diving team added two members to its roster. Meghan Proehl (San Diego, Calif.) and Alison Ho (Topeka, Kan.) will join the team for the 2005-06 season.

Meghan Proehl a senior at Rancho Bernardo is coached by Lisa Smedley. She was a member of the Union Tribune and North County Times All Academic teams for 2005 and was the 2004-05 Division I San Diego County League Champion. Proehl, who was born in Overland Park, Kan., is also a member of Taylor Made Diving Club coached by Dennis Taylor.

“The whole team is very excited to have Meghan as a Jayhawk next year,” said head diving coach Eric Elliot. “She brings a lot of talent and a great personality to our program. I think Meghan has a great future at Kansas.”

Alison Ho a senior at Washburn Rural is coached by Elaine Pardee. Ho is a member of the Team Jayhawk Diving Club coached by Eric Elliot.

“Alison has been a very hard worker and fast learner, and I expect her progress to continue,” said Elliot. “I think it is great to have a local student athlete to add even more Kansas flair to the team next fall.”
