Woodland Fires a Fourth-Round 71 at PGA Tour Qualifying School

LA QUINTA, Calif. –

Former Jayhawk Gary Woodland shot a fourth-round 71 at the Nicklaus Tournament Course at PGA West to remain in contention to earn his 2009 PGA Tour Card. Woodland is currently tied for 33rd place at the six-round PGA Tour Qualifying School.

The Berryton, Kan. native, has now fired four-consecutive rounds to earn a four-round total of 276 with two rounds to play.

Woodland’s collegiate career featured four career victories, along with 10 other top-10 finishes. Woodland ended his Jayhawk career with a 73.44 scoring average.

The top-25 finishers plus ties will earn their full 2009 PGA Tour Card. All remaining participants will earn some form of PGA Nationwide Tour Cards.
