Dezmon Briscoe

Former Kansas wide receiver Dezmon Briscoe, who played at KU from 2007-09, was activated from the Tampa Buccaneers’ practice squad on Nov. 30. However, he did not play in Tampa Bay’s 28-24 loss to the Atlanta Falcons Sunday. Briscoe is still looking to appear in his first NFL game after being drafted this year by the Cincinnati Bengals. He was cut by the Bengals at the end of training camp, but picked up by Tampa Bay on Sept. 9.

Anthony Collins

Offensive lineman Anthony Collins, who played at KU from 2005-07, is in his third season with the Cincinnati Bengals. Collins played in Cincinnati’s 34-30 loss to the New Orleans Saints Sunday at Paul Brown Stadium. He has been active for five of the Bengals’ 12 games this season, and played in 28 games in his NFL career. He was selected in the fourth round of the 2008 NFL Draft by the Bengals.

James Holt

Linebacker James Holt, who played at KU from 2005-08, was injured in San Diego’s loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Sept. 26 and was placed on injured reserve, meaning he will miss the remainder of the 2010 season. Holt finished his 2010 season with two tackles on special teams. He was an undrafted free agent signee by the Chargers in 2009, and played in nine games recording 10 tackles a season ago.

Kerry Meier

Former KU wide receiver Kerry Meier, who played at KU from 2006-09, injured his knee in his second preseason game against the New England Patriots on Aug. 20 and will miss the 2010 season. Meier recorded one catch for seven yards in the game against Patriots – and had three catches in the preseason. According to an Associated Press story, Meier was on his way to earning a spot on the Falcons’ team as a backup wide receiver.

Moran Norris

Former Kansas fullback Moran Norris, who played at KU from 1996-2000, is in his 10th year of professional football and his fourth season with the San Francisco 49ers. Norris started his ninth game of the season in San Francisco’s 34-16 loss to the Green Bay Packers Sunday at Lambeau Field. Norris did not record any stats. He has played in all 12 of the 49ers’ games this season. He has four catches for 20 yards and three carries from scrimmage for no gain. Norris was originally drafted by the New Orleans Saints in the fourth round of the 2001 NFL Draft. He has also played for the Houston Texans and Detroit Lions in addition to a season with the Saints and three with the 49ers.

Mike Rivera

Former Kansas linebacker Mike Rivera, who played at KU from 2005-08, was picked up by the Green Bay Packers on Oct. 13, after being cut in training camp by the Tennessee Titans. Rivera has been on Green Bay’s practice squad the last five weeks, and was inactive for the Packers’ 34-16 win over San Francisco on Sunday at Lambeau Field. Rivera has been with three different teams in his NFL career. He was originally signed by the Chicago Bears as an undrafted free agent prior to the 2009 season.

Darrell Stuckey

Former Kansas safety Darrell Stuckey, who played at KU from 2006-09, is in his rookie season with the San Diego Chargers. Stuckey was inactive for San Diego in the Chargers’ 28-13 loss to the Oakland Raiders. Stuckey has played in just one game this season after being injured in Week 3 against Seattle. He was selected in the fourth round by the Chargers in this year’s NFL Draft.

Aqib Talib

Former Kansas cornerback Aqib Talib, who played at KU from 2005-07, is in his third season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Talib collected two tackles and a pass breakup in Tampa Bay’s 28-24 loss to the Atlanta Falcons Sunday at Raymond James Stadium. Talib remains tied for second in the NFL with Washington’s DeAngelo Hall with six interceptions this season. The former KU star also has 40 tackles and 11 pass breakups in 11 games. He recorded his first NFL interception return for a touchdown against Arizona on Oct. 31, and was named the NFC Defensive Player of the Week that week. Talib was selected in the first round by the Buccaneers in the 2008 NFL Draft.
