Tyrel Reed to Sign Books at Sprint Center Before KU-Davidson

LAWRENCE, Kan. Tyrel Reed, who graduated in 2011 as the winningest basketball player ever at the University of Kansas, will sign copies of his new book at the Sprint Center in Kansas City next Monday, December 19, before the Jayhawks face Davidson there.

The signing will start at 6:30 p.m. in the concourse concession area of Section 120. The game tips off at 8 p.m.

The book, Reed All About It: Driven to Be a Jayhawk, chronicles Reed’s time with the Jayhawks. It tells, among other things, Reed’s thoughts about what is was like to play for Coach Bill Self, how he felt to win a national championship as a freshman, how he was able to excel academically despite the demands of basketball practice and road trips. Reed has been playing professional basketball in Belgium since early October.

The book was published by Ascend Books of Overland Park, Kan. It is available at stores throughout Kansas and also at www.amazon.com.
