Perkins, Mangino Help Open NASDAQ Trading Monday
University of Kansas Athletics Director Lew Perkins and Head Football Coach Mark Mangino helped ring the opening bell of the NASDAQ stock market Monday morning in New York City to celebrate the 2008 Insight Bowl.
Perkins and Mangino were joined by Richard Fennessy, President and Chief Executive Officer of Insight Enterprises, Inc., the sponsor of the Insight Bowl, Dave Tilson, Insight Bowl Chairman, as well as University of Minnesota Athletics Director Joel Maturi and Head Football Coach Tim Brewster. The ceremony took place at the NASDAQ market site at 43rd and Broadway.
