Jayhawks Dropped by Indiana at Assembly Hall

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. –

The University of Kansas fell to Indiana University, 63-48, Thursday night at Assembly Hall in Bloomington, Ind. The Hoosiers improved to 11-2 on the season while the Jayhawks record stands at 5-5.<?xml:namespace prefix=”o” ns=”urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office”?>

Sophomore Marija Zinic’s was KU’s lone player in double-figures with 10 points. Freshman Kelly Kohn and sophomore Ivana Catic had nine apiece. Kohn pulled down a career-high seven boards.

Indiana led by as much as 11 points in the first half before KU went on an 8-2 run to close out the stanza and cut the Hoosiers lead to five at the break. Senior Shaquina Mosley capped the run with a put-back basket as time expired.

KU continued the run to start the second half. The Jayhawks scored the first four points of the half, cutting the lead to one before the Hoosiers took control of the game.

Kansas will return to action on Friday, Dec. 29 against Northern Illinois. KU and NIU will tip-off at 7 p.m. in Allen Fieldhouse.
