Kansas‘ win over Albany:

Improves Kansas to 9-3 on the season.

-Gives KU a 1-0 series edge against Albany.

–Makes Kansas 7-0 against current membership of the America East Conference

–Gives KU its 31st straight win in Allen Fieldhouse, the fourth-longest streak in school history and the fourth longest in the country.

–Improves Kansas head coach Bill Self’s record to 151-35 while at KU, 358-140 overall and 1-0 all-time against Albany.

–Gives Kansas a 623-106 all-time record in Allen Fieldhouse.

–Improves Kansas to 1,952-788 all-time.

Notes

–Sophomore Tyrel Reed tied his career high with 12 points for the third time. His first game with 12 points was against UMKC and his second was against New Mexico State.

–Every Kansas field goal was assisted in the first half.

–Freshman Travis Releford posted a season-high four rebounds.

–Junior Sherron Collins, seven points, marked the fewest points he’s scored in a game this season. This breaks his double-digit scoring streak of 13 games.

–Freshman Marcus Morris recorded his first career three-pointer.

–Kansas shot 56.3% (27-48) from the field which marked its highest percentage this season, and the highest since Kansas shot 58% (29-50) against UNLV on March 22, 2009. KU has shot 50 percent or better in five games this season.

–Freshman Quintrell Thomas recorded a season-high six free throws. He went 6-6.

–Kansas’ 20 first half field goal attempts are the fewest since the Jayhawks took 21 attempts in the first half since playing Southern Illinois on March 22, 2007.

–Albany’s 43 points are the fewest by a Kansas opponent since Kansas defeated Detroit 63-43 on December 28, 2006.

–Albany failed to make a three-point field goal in the game. The last team Kansas held to no three-point field goals was Missouri on February 4, 2008.
