Kansas' 2008 Orange Bowl Victory To Be Re-Broadcast On 610 Sports Radio Saturday Morning

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Jayhawk fans will the opportunity to re-live the Kansas 2008 Orange Bowl victory when 610 Sports Radio in Kansas City re-broadcasts the game beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday.

Kansas defeated Virginia Tech 24-21 on Jan. 3, 2008 to cap a 12-1 season. The Jayhawks finished seventh in the final polls that season as they won a school record 12 games.

Todd Reesing, then a sophomore, threw one touchdown pass and ran for another. Cornerback Aqib Talib returned an interception 60 yards for a touchdown as the Jayhawks defeated the third-ranked Hokies.

Brandon McAnderson ran for 75 yards, while Dexton Fields caught seven passes for 101 yards. Defensively, Mike Rivera recorded 12 tackles and the Jayhawks registered five sacks and three interceptions.
