PRINTABLE PROMOTIONS SCHEDULE  |  2017 TICKET INFORMATION

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Riding the wave from its highest home attendance in program history a year ago, the Kansas Athletics Marketing and Fan Experience staff has put together several classic gameday promotions during the 2017 Jayhawk home soccer schedule to ensure another fun and action-packed season at Rock Chalk Park.

Gameday traditions such as Salute to Service, Bark in the Park and the Jayhawks for a Cure match are all included during this season’s 10 home matches, but new creations like the “Lucky Friday the 13th” and the Sunflower Showdown presented by Dillon’s games will add a fun feel to the 2017 schedule.

KU opens its 2017 home schedule with an exhibition match on Aug. 12. Jayhawk fans will get their first look at the 2017 squad when KU welcomes the Iowa Hawkeyes to Rock Chalk Park for a 1 p.m. kickoff. The game will include a giveaway of Kansas soccer magnets, schedule cards as well as a free youth clinic on the field following the match for kids 13 years old or younger.

Kansas will open the regular season on Aug. 18 inside Rock Chalk Park against the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Participants from any of the KU Soccer Summer Camps will be invited to attend, as the match will serve as Camper Reunion Day. Campers will be admitted for free with a camp T-shirt and all fans will have an opportunity to claim red and blue KU poms upon entrance to the match.

The match on Aug. 20 against Central Michigan will serve as Public Safety Day, with Lawrence Police Department vehicles on display in the Rock Chalk Park parking lot. All public safety employees will be admitted for $5 with a valid ID.

When the Colorado College Tigers come to town on Sept. 1, all active military personnel will be honored on Salute to Service Day. Jayhawk Battle Flags will also be available to all fans in attendance.

A fan favorite, Bark in the Park, will be held on Sept. 3 when Kansas takes on the defending NCAA Champion USC Trojans. Furry friends will be admitted with a donation to the Lawrence Humane Society and will also have a chance to get their paws on a KU dog bandana. The Lawrence Humane Society will host an adoption day with several dogs on hand looking for homes.

Fan appreciation day will be held on Sunday, Sept. 10 as the Jayhawks meet former Big 12 foe Texas A&M. All fans who bring tickets stubs from the Sept. 9 KU football game will be admitted for $5. A fan carnival will also take place prior to the match in the Rock Chalk Park parking lot, including food trucks and animals from Pet World. Fans will also have a chance to claim a pair of Jayhawk sunglasses upon entrance to the match.

The Jayhawks open Big 12 play on Oct. 6 as they host the first ever soccer edition of the Sunflower Showdown. Kansas State will meet the Jayhawks at Rock Chalk Park in a 7 p.m. kickoff. Fans can claim a limited edition KU soccer scarf while supplies last. Kansas students will also be encouraged to pack the park with shuttles running from the residence halls to Rock Chalk Park and free pizza available while supplies last.

The match against Texas (Oct. 13) is ‘Lucky Friday the 13th‘ and will feature a raffle which will give fans a chance to win a variety of prizes, including a 46″ flat screen TV, an Amazon Echo and an authentic Kansas soccer jersey.

On Oct. 15, Kansas will host its ‘Jayhawks for a Cure’ match against Baylor. Fans wearing pink will be admitted for $5. Pink poms will also be handed out to fans in attendance with cancer survivors set to be recognized on the field pregame.

Kansas will host its Senior Night on Oct. 27 when the Jayhawks welcome in West Virginia. The match will also feature a Halloween Celebration with fans encouraged to wear their favorite costume. A Jayhawk mask will be available while supplies last upon entrance to Rock Chalk Park.
