HOURS OF OPERATION, OVERTIME CALCULATION

Office hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with one hour allowed for lunch. Supervisors may schedule staggered lunch hours for those offices remaining open all day.

Overtime hours must be approved in advance by the supervisor. Overtime will be based on actual hours worked in a workweek (KUAC’s workweek runs from Sunday through Saturday). Non-exempt employees will be paid overtime, at the rate of one and one-half times regular rate, after forty (40) hours worked.

Example: Employee A works 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday through Friday, and then works 5 hours on Saturday. Employee A will receive 5 hours of overtime pay. Employee B works 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday through Thursday, and takes a day of leave on Friday, then works 5 hours on Saturday. Employee B will be paid straight time for Monday – Thursday and Saturday, and paid leave for Friday. Employee B is not eligible for overtime pay.

If an employee works on a holiday, s/he may choose to be paid for hours worked or accrue Holiday compensatory time for hours worked. S/he must designate on timecard whether HCT (holiday compensatory time) or pay is wanted.

If an employee leaves KUAC and has accrued compensatory overtime he or she will be paid for any such time.

Exempt personnel are not eligible for overtime. Exempt employees will be expected to work the necessary hours required to be successful in all aspects of their job responsibilities.

DAILY OPERATING PROCEDURES Anschutz Pavilion is reserved for varsity athletics from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, and all day Saturday and Sunday. Joggers and walkers may use the track area during the following hours: Anschutz Pavilion: 6 a.m. – 1 p.m. Mon-Fri 8 p.m. – 11 p.m. Mon-Fri (KUID required/OCT-MAR) Allen Fieldhouse : 6 a.m. – 6 p.m. Mon-Fri * NOTE: Physical education classes, recreation or athletics department activities have first priority and may pre-empt the jogging and walking activities at any time.

KUAC staff members will restrict workouts to time periods designated by the strength and conditioning coach.

The Athletic Department assumes responsibility only for its own activities and equipment when used by KUAC employees in the course of assigned activities.

The following prohibitions apply when using Allen Fieldhouse, Anderson Strength Center, Wagnon Student-Athlete Center, Parrott Athletic Center, Horejsi Family Athletic Center and Anschutz Pavilion:

1. No smoking at any time;

2. No shoes other than regulation basketball or tennis shoes are to be worn on the basketball or volleyball floor;

3. No bicycles, roller skates, skateboards or other wheeled devices are permitted inside these buildings;

4. No posters, fliers or other literature are to be posted unless prior approval by the Athletics Director or designee is received;

5. No athletics department equipment or materials may be used without prior approval;

6. Only persons authorized by the strength coach are permitted in the weight rooms.
