The game will be played at Kauffman Stadium, home of the 2015 World Champion Kansas City Royals, Wednesday, April 27, with first pitch slated for 6 p.m. Kansas will be the home team and occupy the third-base dugout.
Kansas has not played at Kauffman Stadium since April 6, 2011, after winning its fourth-straight game against Missouri in Kansas City. The Jayhawks hold a 4-1 mark in games held at Kauffman Stadium with their only loss coming against the Royals April 18, 1979, in an exhibition contest.
The Jayhawks and Huskers have not faced one another since Nebraska’s move to the Big Ten, but Kansas holds an 8-2 mark in the last 10 games the two squads have met, winning three-straight series.
Ticket prices for the Hall of Fame Classic range from $5 to $15 and can be purchased through the Kansas City Royals ticket services.
