Coffee-table book chronicling 22 years of Kansas Athletics action in every sport now available

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Jeff Jacobsen, Kansas Athletics’ staff photographer since 1997, has released a hardcover keepsake coffee-table book that features photographs of every University of Kansas sport over the past 22 years.

“Tribute to Crimson & the Blue,” with a foreword by KU’s head men’s basketball coach Bill Self, is a 256-page book that goes behind the scenes through the images of Jacobsen.

"The word ’tribute’ in the title is significant. This book is a gift intended to show my gratitude, respect and admiration to the University of Kansas student-athletes and their coaches whom I have photographed since 1997. My thanks go to every one of them for their time and patience with me, a photographer whose desire over the many years has always been to give my very best to all of these wonderful people."

“Unfortunately, I couldn’t fit all the photographs from all 22 years into one book,” Jacobsen continued. “This is not a history book. It is a book filled with great action, but even more, filled with unique insights into the life of the student-athletes in a very close and personal way. The images in the book were selected because, to me, they represent the best in all the student-athletes I am privileged to photograph.”
