⚾ Cogan Joins Kansas As Team Impact Signee

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas baseball announced its newest signee on Tuesday afternoon. Seven-year old Quinn Cogan of Lee’s Summit, Missouri has been named an official member of the roster through Team IMPACT during their Draft Day ceremony. Cogan was diagnosed with leukemia in 2018 and is the active/maintenance stage of his treatment.

Cogan signed an official letter of intent to play with Kansas and is now on the roster for the 2019-20 season and beyond. As a member of the team, Cogan will attend the Jayhawks’ practices, games, team dinners, events and more.

The new rookie was joined at his signing by his parents and was given a warm welcome to the team by head coach Ritch Price and a dozen current players on the roster. Cogan was swarmed by his new teammates after officially signing and cementing his status as one of them.
