Cold temperatures cancel KU softball game
LAWRENCE, Kan. – With temperatures expected to be below freezing for most of the day, Kansas softball has cancelled its second game against Iowa originally scheduled for Monday, March 13 at 4 p.m.
The final meeting with the Hawkeyes will not be rescheduled. The Jayhawks finished the 2017 Jayhawk Invitational with a 3-0 record and improved to 15-9 on the season.
Kansas returns to the diamond on Thursday, March 16, to host UMKC at 6 p.m., in the first game of the 2017 Rock Chalk Challenge. The game with the Roos will be broadcast on the Jayhawk Television Network/ESPN3 and the Jayhawk Radio Network.
Kansas continues its 10-game homestand with its second tournament of 2017 at Rock Chalk Park. The Jayhawks host UMKC, LSU, Southeast Missouri State and Omaha in the fourth annual Rock Chalk Challenge March 16-19.
