Construction alters traffic flow to Big 12 Championship

ROUND ROCK, Texas – The Big 12 Conference was informed by the Texas Department of Transportation that traffic to Saturday’s championship meet at Old Settlers Park in Round Rock, Texas will be altered due to construction taking place in the area.

Any fans planning to attend the Big 12 Championship should plan on taking alternated routes based on the following information.

TxDOT is closing I-35 in Round Rock from 10 p.m. to 10 a.m. for construction.

If fans are traveling from the south, take exit 253 (Hwy 79/Palm Valley Blvd.) off of I-35. From there, turn left onto Harrell Parkway (near the Salt Lick Barbecue and at Dell Diamond entrance). Harrell weaves through the park and goes directly to the course. The 130 Toll is also an option to get to Hwy 79. If taking 130, turn left onto Palm Valley to get there.

Fans traveling from the north should take the 130 Toll to Hwy 79. Turn right onto Hwy 79 (Palm Valley Blvd.). Turn right on Harrell Parkway just past Dell Diamond. Harrell will flow through the park directly to the course.
