Forecasted heat forces Bob Timmons Classic schedule change
LAWRENCE, Kan. – With temperatures predicted to reach the mid-to-high 80’s by 10 a.m. in Lawrence on Saturday, Kansas cross country coaches and officials have elected to adjust the start times of the Bob Timmons Classic races at Rim Rock Farm on September 1.
The men’s 6K race will now start at 8 a.m., an hour prior to the original start time of 9 a.m. The women’s 5K race will now go off at 9 a.m. rather than the originally scheduled 10 a.m. start.
