Sunflower Showdown Presented by Dillons Set for 2:30 p.m. Kickoff on FS1

LAWRENCE, Kan. — The 2019 version of the Sunflower Showdown presented by Dillons against Kansas State will take place at 2:30 p.m., at David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium on Novemeber 2, the Big 12 Conference announced on Monday, with the game being televised on FS1.

It will be the 117th meeting between the two teams, with Kansas owning the series advantage at 66-45-5, including a 37-19-2 record in Lawrence. Kansas (2-5, 0-4 Big 12) is coming off a last-second loss against No. 15/15 Texas, where the Jayhawks totaled 569 yards of offense. Kansas will welcome Texas Tech to David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium for Homecoming on October 26 at 6 p.m.

Kansas State (4-2, 1-2 Big 12) will take on No. 5/5 Oklahoma Sooners on Oct. 26 before coming to Lawrence. The Wildcats took the last matchup against the Jayhawks in Manhattan, 17-21.

The showdown with the Wildcats will be the third game this season where the Jayhawks will play on FS1, and the first game with a 2:30 p.m., kickoff. Kansas fell to TCU in its first game on FS1 this season, and will take on Texas Tech on FS1 on October 26.
