ESPNU to broadcast a pair of KU women’s basketball games

LAWRENCE, Kan. – A day after announcing its first national televised game of the 2016-17 season, Kansas women’s basketball added two more to its national lineup, as announced by ESPN and the Big 12 Conference on Wednesday.

ESPNU will air two Jayhawk games during the 2016-17 campaign. KU’s contest at Iowa State was originally slated for Jan. 7, but has been moved to Jan. 8 at 1 p.m. to air on ESPNU. Additionally, ESPNU selected Kansas’ matchup with the Baylor Lady Bears on Jan. 15 inside Allen Fieldhouse. Tipoff for the Jayhawks’ second date on ESPNU is scheduled for 1 p.m.

All games aired on an ESPN network will also be available through WatchESPN, accessible on computers, smartphones, tablets and connected devices to fans who receive their video subscription from an affiliated provider.

The Jayhawks open their 2016-17 season at the 32nd annual Late Night in the Phog presented by Hy-Vee Saturday, Oct. 1, in Allen Fieldhouse. Late Night in the Phog will run from 6:30 p.m., to approximately 9:30 p.m.
