Eubanks, Henry set for Jamaican National Championships

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas track & field will send two student-athletes to the Jamaican Senior National Championships at National Stadium in Kingston, Jamaica, June 20-23. Outgoing senior Marleena Eubanks will compete in the women’s 800-meter run and soon-to-be redshirt senior Ivan Henry will compete in the men’s 400-meter dash.

The Jayhawks will begin action on Friday, June 21, with Henry competing in the first round of the men’s 400-meter dash at 5:45 p.m. CDT. Eubanks is then scheduled to run in the semifinals of the 800 meters at 7:28 p.m. CDT.

Should Henry make it through to the semifinal round of the 400, he would then compete on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. CDT. Pending qualification to the final of the women’s 800, Eubanks would compete on Saturday as well at 8:20 p.m. CDT.

The men’s 400-meter dash final is scheduled for Sunday at 6:45 p.m. CDT.
