Farris set to join Kansas volleyball
LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas head volleyball coach Ray Bechard announced the addition of Kennedy Farris to the 2019 roster Wednesday.
Farris, a Lansing High School graduate and Leavenworth, Kansas native, played four years for the Lions and helped Lansing to four-unbeaten Kaw Valley League seasons. In her four years in the high school ranks, Farris helped tally 143 wins, while graduating with a school-record 1,222 career digs.
During her junior and senior campaigns she helped lead her team to a third-place finish in the Kansas 5A State Tournament. She also was named a three-time all-KVL selection and a four-time academic all-state honoree.
In addition to her playing time on the volleyball court, Farris started four years for Lansing’s soccer team and two years for its basketball team.
Farris is a member of the Kansas City Power 18-1 volleyball club and is from the same high school as current Jayhawk Lacey Angello.
"Excited about Kennedy joining us and she will be a solid addition to the Jayhawks. We are fortunate to get a player of her caliber this late and we look forward to what she brings both on-and-off the court. "
