Kansas Football Loyalty Ticket Pricing for 2016 Season Available Until Feb. 3; Spring Game Date Announced

LAWRENCE, Kan. – With the 2016 football season on the horizon, Kansas Athletics is offering Loyalty season ticket pricing until Feb. 3. Additionally, Kansas football has set its date for the annual spring game (April 9) and is alerting Jayhawk fans to prepare for its second-annual ‘Football in February.’
 
LOYALTY PRICING
KU fans looking to purchase 2016 season tickets can take advantage of Loyalty Pricing and save up to $50 per ticket by purchasing before February 3. Even better, choose between paying in full at time of purchase or take advantage of a 0% interest payment plan with equal monthly payments between now and July 15, 2016.
 
Williams Education Fund members who maintain or increase their level of giving will have the option to keep their same seats as 2015 for both the 2016 and 2017 seasons. Williams Education Fund members will also earn six priority points for each tier-level ticket on the first four tickets purchased. Additional tier-level tickets or any Coach’s Corner tickets provide one point per ticket. Five priority points are earned with the purchase of a Family Zone 4 Pack.
 
The Jayhawks will host six home games in 2016. In non-conference action, KU will host Rhode Island (Sept. 3) and Ohio (Sept. 10/Family Weekend/Band Day). KU will welcome TCU (Oct. 18), Oklahoma State (Oct. 22/Homecoming), Iowa State (Nov. 12) and Texas (Nov. 19) in Big 12 Conference play.

SPRING GAME
The spring football game will be played on Saturday, April 9, and be held in Memorial Stadium with kickoff slated for 1 p.m.
 
Head coach David Beaty and the Jayhawks will open up spring practice in mid-March and the schedule includes the 1 p.m., game on Saturday, April 9. The Jayhawks will spread out their spring practice dates over a five-week period spanning time in both March and April.
 
Per NCAA rules, KU will hold 15 practices during the spring season. As a safety precaution, in two of the practice sessions players will be limited to helmets only. Additionally, in a third session players are only allowed to dress out in helmets and shoulder pads, as they are required to go through an acclimatization period. The remaining 12 practice sessions, players are able to wear full pads and participate in live contact drills for a portion of practice.
 
Other spring dates announced are: Kansas Football Coaches Clinic (Friday/Saturday, Feb. 19-20) and the fourth-annual Train Like a Jayhawk Kid’s Clinic (Saturday, April 9). FOOTBALL IN FEBRUARY
Kansas Athletics and the KU Alumni Association are partnering for the second-straight year to bring the Kansas football program, Beaty and his coaching staff to Jayhawk fans across the state of Kansas for numerous exciting events during the month of February.
 
The 2016 Kansas ‘Football in February’ events will include several stops throughout the state of Kansas. Exact dates and locations for ‘Football in February’ will be announced in the near future on KUAthletics.com.
