Tenth Annual KU Kickoff at Corinth Square Set for Friday, Aug. 21

LAWRENCE, Kan. – It’s August and football season is fast approaching. For Jayhawk fans that means it’s time for the 10th-annual KU Kickoff at Corinth Square. The exciting family-friendly event, sponsored by First National Bank, allows Kansas supporters the opportunity to bond over football, food and fun. The 2015 KU Kickoff at Corinth Square will be held on Friday, Aug. 21, beginning at 6 p.m.
 
Kansas Athletics and the KU Alumni Association will join forces to host the KU Kickoff at Corinth Square, located at 83rd & Mission Road in Prairie Village, Kansas. First-year KU football head coach David Beaty and first-year head women’s basketball coach Brandon Schneider will address the crowd.
 
Also sponsored by Shawnee Mission Health, the KU Kickoff at Corinth Square will include food, drinks and KU giveaways, as well as inflatable games for kids. Pre-event music will be provided by DJ Spencer D and the band Coversmith is scheduled to perform from 8-10 p.m.
 
Kansas will open the 2015 season by hosting South Dakota State on Saturday, Sept. 5 at 11 a.m., in Memorial Stadium. Season tickets and Flex Pack tickets are available now. Single-game tickets will go on sale to Williams Education Fund members Aug. 17-18 and to the general public on Aug. 19. Tickets are no longer required for children ages two and under.
