The No. 1 seed Kansas Jayhawks (33-6) is set to make its 10th NCAA Tournament Championship appearance as they take on the No. 8 seed North Carolina Tar Heels (29-9) in the NCAA Tournament Championship on Monday, April 4 at 8:20 p.m. CST at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.

The Kansas Jayhawks advanced to their 25th Elite Eight appearance in program history Friday night with a 66-61 win over the Providence Flyers at the United Center.

No. 1 seed Kansas (30-6) will face No. 4 seed Providence (27-5), Friday, March 25, at 6:29 p.m. CST in the 2022 NCAA Championship Sweet 16. The game from the United Center in Chicago will be televised on TBS.

🏀 Ochai Agbaji Named a Naismith Trophy Finalist

Kansas senior Ochai Agbaji has been named one of four finalists for the Jersey Mike’s Naismith Trophy Men’s Player of the Year, the Atlanta Tipoff Club announced Tuesday. Agbaji is looking to become the third Jayhawk to win the James A. Naismith Trophy along with Danny Manning (1988) and Frank Mason III (2017).

The No. 1 seeded Kansas Jayhawks opened their 50th NCAA Tournament appearance in style Thursday night, topping 16th-seeded Texas Southern 83-56 at Dickies Arena.
