LAWRENCE, Kan. – In anticipation of Kansas football’s second scrimmage of its 2016 training camp head coach David Beaty orchestrated the Jayhawks through a brisk two-hour workout in helmets and shoulder pads Friday afternoon inside Memorial Stadium.

At the conclusion of the workout, Beaty praised the Jayhawks for their professionalism and relishing in the strain of each day of Fall Camp. Special teams drills comprised the beginning portion of KU’s 10th fall practice, while a series of individual, team and 7-on-7 sessions closed out the day under partly cloudy skies and unusually cool temperatures.

Practice Quick Hits:

  • During team period, Montell Cozart connected with LaQuvionte Gonzalez on a 15-yard pass.
  • Cameron Rosser collected a pair of tackles for loss.
  • A Ryan Willis pass found Emmanuel Moore for a 10-yard catch and run.
  • Keaton Perry hit Jace Sternberger in stride for a 10-yard completion.
  • Perry also completed a 33-yard pass play on a jump ball down the sideline that Daylon Charlot went up and got.
  • Fish Smithson knocked down a pass for a breakup.
