LAWRENCE, Kan. – Hawk Talk with David Beaty has a new home this season as the show will now take place at Johnny’s Tavern – West Lawrence. Dates were announced Wednesday, with the first of the 12 shows scheduled for Monday, Aug. 27. Live from Johnny’s Tavern—West Lawrence, Hawk Talk will give fans the opportunity to listen to Coach Beaty answer fan questions about all things KU football.
Hawk Talk with David Beaty will take place each Monday from 7-8 p.m., with the exception of the final show of the year, which will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 13. Additionally, there will be a show during the bye week (Oct. 8) in place of a show during the final game week of the season, due to scheduling conflicts.
Hawk Talk can be heard around the state of Kansas on the Jayhawk IMG Radio Network affiliates and via KUAthletics.com, which will also feature a live audio stream of the show. Fans can submit questions to Coach Beaty on the front page of KUAthletics.com.
Johnny’s Tavern, with 10 locations across Lawrence and Kansas City has been “Serving Up Tradition,” with its’ world famous hamburgers and pizza, and is now a hot spot for sports fans as well as families.
