Dorance Armstrong Jr., performs well at 2018 NFL Combine

LAWRENCE, Kan. — Getting one step closer to achieving his dream of playing in the National Football League (NFL), Kansas star defensive end Dorance Armstrong Jr., completed his three-day stop at the 2018 NFL Combine Sunday afternoon.

“Overall I think I had a pretty good combine,” said Armstrong. “I enjoyed the weekend and had a good experience meeting with coaches, scouts and other NFL personnel. My interviews went well and I am looking forward to meeting with more teams in the future. It was an honor to represent Kansas football.”

Armstrong was impressive in the majority of his drills and position work, but knows improvements can still be made before KU’s pro day in late March.

“Next up is going back to Houston to continue my training,” said Armstrong. “Now I know exactly what I need hone in on. I know I can run a much better 40-yard dash time and there are some other things I want to improve on. I am glad I have another chance to show the teams what I am capable of doing.”
