Football Unveils 2016 Media Guide

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Slightly over two weeks away from the start of fall training camp, the first opportunity to get an up close and personal look at this year’s Kansas football team has arrived with the 2016 media guide now available for purchase or online viewing (click here).

The book – comprised of 208 pages of information not found anywhere else, including; in-depth player and coach biographies, opponent information, statistical review, record book and history sections – blend and bring to life Kansas tradition with head coach David Beaty’s ‘Earn It’ philosophy.

The cover sets the tone for the team’s hardworking, blue collar mentality on the upcoming season. A K Flag comprises the background, while the inside of the K is a fusion of six photos featuring players relentlessly working to earn it on the practice field and the weight room. Senior safety Fish Smithson stands front-and-center after leading the nation in solo tackles a season ago.

Inside of the front cover is a collage of the coaching staff. The inside back cover is devoted to Kansas football’s outstanding community service, showcasing the more than 1,000 combined hours devoted by team members in the last year. The schedule rounds out the back cover of the guide.
