Jayhawk Student-Athletes Participate in Graduation Ceremonies

LAWRENCE, Kan. – For some 75 University of Kansas student-athletes and staff, a sunny and windy Sunday morning served as a great backdrop for the rich tradition at KU for graduates to walk through the Campanile near the top of Mount Oread and “down the hill” to Memorial Stadium for graduation ceremonies.

Not all the KU graduating student-athletes had the opportunity to participate in the 2015 graduation festivities. On Sunday, the KU softball team was competing at NCAA Regionals in Columbia, Missouri, while the track and field teams were at the Big 12 Championships in Ames, Iowa. The Jayhawk rowing team is also at its conference competition in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.
