Jayhawks post combined 3.02 GPA for fall semester

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Forty-five current Kansas student-athletes posted perfect 4.0 grade point averages and 223 more recorded a 3.0 or higher, a total of 56 percent of Jayhawks on active rosters, to earn Athletics Director’s Honor Roll recognition for the fall semester. KU’s teams combined to log a departmental GPA of 3.02. 

The Kansas women’s cross country team set a Kansas Athletics department record, leading all Jayhawk programs with a 3.69 team GPA, followed closely by men’s golf, which also set a team record with a 3.60 GPA. Nine of 16 programs achieved better than 3.0.

The Kansas women’s golf (3.58), soccer (3.40), swimming and diving (3.38), women’s track and field (3.33), rowing (3.17), men’s cross country (3.07) and softball (3.03) teams joined the previously mentioned pair above 3.0 for the fall semester.
