K Club to Host National Conference
LAWRENCE, Kan. – K Club, the letterwinner association of Kansas Athletics, will play host to the 21st annual National Letterwinner Association Conference (NLWA), June 21-23, on the KU campus.
This year’s NLWA conference will feature nearly 70 attendees from 25 NCAA Division I schools and eight conferences. Festivities will kick off with a welcome reception atop The Oread Hotel overlooking the University of Kansas campus. Conference attendees will receive a behind-the-scenes tour of KU’s athletics facilities, including off-campus venues at Rock Chalk Park and the Rowing Boathouse.
During conference sessions attendees will present various topics relevant to letterwinner associations across the country. These meetings serve as the backbone of the conference and allow for schools to share their best practices, while being able to take away ideas and strategies to strengthen their own organizations.
“It’s a great opportunity for K Club to host this event and establish ourselves as one of the premier letterwinner associations in the nation,” senior director of K Club and traditions Candace Dunback said.
