#KUinTAIWAN: USA enjoys a taste of Taiwanese culture

CHIAYI CITY, Taiwan – On the first of two-consecutive off days, the Kansas baseball team (USA Team) took part in a culture program put on by the International University Sports Federation (FISU) at the 2018 World University Baseball Championship Wednesday afternoon (Taiwan time) in Chiayi City.

The program included a tour of the Chiayi Old Prison, the i-WOOD village where players learned to make their own chopsticks with their hands, and the Southern Branch of the National Palace Museum that is “the hub of Asian Diversity.”

USA will get one more day off before continuing super round action against Korea on Friday, July 13, at 3 a.m. (CT). Following that game, the top four teams will be seeded into medal games, with the first- and second- ranked teams playing for gold and silver, and the third- and fourth-ranked teams playing for bronze.
