Hill Named Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week

IRVIING, Texas – Kansas senior middle blocker Zoe Hill has been named the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week as announced by the conference office Monday.

Hill led the Big 12 in total blocks (13) and blocks per set (1.86) Nov. 4-10 . The Houston, Texas native tallied seven blocks against Texas Tech, while also recording 10 kills on 14 attempts against the Red Raiders.

"Zoe (Hill) is a relentless defender and never gives up on the play. She made many key blocks in the matches against Texas Tech and TCU, and the honor is well deserved."

In the second match of the week at TCU, Hill recorded six blocks in the four-set match, and it was her third-consecutive match with six-or-more blocks. She also finished with 12 kills for her second-straight match with double-digit kills.

The player of the week honor is the first honor for the Jayhawks this season, and the fourth player of the week honor in Hill’s career.
