Jayhawks and Grizzlies square off on Tuesday
LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas softball is set to host its sixth exhibition matchup of the fall season on Tuesday (Oct. 8) against Butler Community College at 5 p.m. inside Arrocha Ballpark. The Jayhawks are currently unbeaten in their exhibition play with their last matchup resulting in a 14-3 victory over Central Missouri.

The freshman’s strong performance
Peyton Renzi was all over the place in KU’s matchup against Central Missouri. She finished the game with three RBIs and three runs, which included a three-run jack in the seventh inning. The freshman also showed off her defensive skills as she saved a run at the plate by throwing a perfect ball from right field to the catcher. Renzi also led the team with three stolen bases on the night.
KU’s strong fall season
The Jayhawks have been a strong opponent thus far through five exhibition matchups. The team has outscored its opponents 55-8 and it has resulted in five straight victories.
