Jayhawks Closes Fall Season at the Ka'anapali Classic

LAHAINA, Hi. – The Kansas men’s golf team will play in its last tournament of the fall slate at the Ka’anapali Classic at the Ka’anapali Golf Course in Lahaina, Hawaii, with the first round starting on Friday, Nov. 1, and the conclusion on Sunday, Nov. 3.

"This will be a big week for us. There is a good field and a quality golf course. This will be a great way to end our fall season and we need to be ready to play on day one."

The tournament will feature 20 teams, including five top-25 ranked teams according to Golfstat.com: (5) Oklahoma, (15) Clemson, (18) Washington, (19) Georgia and (23) UCLA. The field will play on a 6,700-yard, par-71 course laid out near the Pacific Ocean and the West Maui Mountains.

In the team’s last outing, the Jayhawks took second place in the Big 12 Match Play Championship in Houston, Texas. Kansas went 3-0-1 in its matchups and compiled the most points in Pool B to play in the championship round.

The first round of the Ka’anapali Classic is set for a shotgun start at 1:30 p.m. (CT) and live scoring can be followed along at Golfstat.com.
