Jayhawks Complete Day One of June Stewart Invite

NASHVILLE, Tenn.— Kansas women’s tennis completed day one of the June Stewart Invitational at Vanderbilt University Friday evening.

Competition began for KU’s freshmen, Luniuska Delgado and Vasiliki Karvouni, in double plays where the duo fell to Princeton by the score of 8-2. The Jayhawks split singles action with Karvouni dropping a two-setter to Vanderbilt (6-0, 7-6 [5]). In one of the last matches of the day, Delgado defeated Vandy in a 6-1, 6-2 decision.

Play continues on Saturday at 9 a.m. CT with singles matches on the indoor courts followed by doubles at 1 p.m. on the outdoor courts. The second round of singles will start immediately after doubles.

Courts 1-6 will have live streaming and live stats.
