The Jayhawks put runners on first and second after another Texas error and walk. A sacrifice bunt moved the runners to second and third, but Kansas was unable to plate the runners after another strikeout ended the inning.

The Longhorns netted another run in the sixth inning off Kansas starter Minor, who pitched six innings and allowed eight hits with three earned runs.

Hannah Todd relieved Minor in the seventh. She was able to hold the Texas attak at bay with the help of a double play and a throw out at second by Shelby Hughston.
