Jayhawks in fifth place going into Windon Memorial Classic final round

LAKE FOREST, Ill.– Through 54 holes, the Kansas men’s golf team sits in fifth place on the team leaderboard at Conway Farms Golf Course at the Windon Memorial Classic in Lake Forest, Illinois.

The Jayhawks finished the day 4-over par (572) and trail by 14 strokes from leader Notre Dame (558), and 10 strokes from second place Ole Miss (562).

Junior Ben Sigel and freshman Luke Kluver led the charge for the Jayhawks. Sigel finished the second round 2-under par (140) and is tied for fifth place entering the final day. Kluver carded 1-under par (141) after two rounds and sits tied for seventh place in the 79-golfer field.

Kluver tallied eight birdies in the two rounds while Sigel finished with six.

"We need all five guys playing well the third round. I hope we can make up some ground on the leaders."
