Jayhawks to compete in all Kansas Sunflower Showdown
LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas swimming and diving will be competing in the first-ever all Kansas Sunflower Showdown on Friday (Oct. 4) down in Topeka, Kansas. The meet is set to begin at 2 p.m.

Seven New Faces
Kansas has seven freshmen on the roster for the 2019-20 season. Amelie Lessing, Autumn Looney, Erin Downey and Mackenzie Bravence are the team’s four newest swimming additions while Amanda Fingerut, Franny Cable and Jiayu Chen will be joining the diving squad.
CSCAA Open Water Championship
The Jayhawk’s first competition of the season was the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Open Water Championship on September 14. With over 20 teams competing in the event, Kansas finished in second place overall. The team was led by senior Jenny Nusbaum who finished the 5k swim in a time of 1:05:31.4 which placed her seventh overall.
