Kansas back in action at Palmetto Intercollegiate

LAWRENCE, Kan. – After a two-week break, the Kansas women’s golf team is back in action when it competes in the Palmetto Intercollegiate in Kiawah Island, South Carolina on October 13-15.

The three-day tournament will take place at Turtle Point Golf Course and features a field of 22 teams. Kansas will face Boston College, Boston University, Charleston Southern, College of Charleston, Cincinnati, Coastal Carolina, Daytona State, ETSU, Elon, Fresno State, Jacksonville State, Marshall, North Florida, Old Dominion, Radford, Troy, UAB, UNCG, Wichita State and Xavier.

Kansas will utilize a familiar lineup with junior Sera Tadokoro in the leadoff spot for a second-consecutive tournament. Tadokoro is coming into the tournament after finishing fourth at the Lady Paladin Invitational (Sept. 27-29) and sixth at the Sunflower Invitational (Sept. 15-16).

Sophomore Pear Pooratanaopa, junior Aristelle Acuff and senior Yi-Tsen Chou make up the middle of the lineup with freshman Ying-Ting Hsieh and sophomore Abby Glynn rounding out the rotation for the Jayhawks. Glynn will be competing individually.

The Palmetto Intercollegiate is slated to begin at 9 a.m. (CT) on Sunday, and Monday features a 10 a.m. (CT) shotgun start.
