Kansas Finishes at Tulsa Fall Invite

CATOOSA, Ok. – After two days, the Kansas women’s rowing team wrapped up its final races of the fall season at the Tulsa Fall Invite at the Verdigris River.

Hosted by the University of Tulsa, the field also featured Central Oklahoma and Southern Methodist.

In the first race of the first day, the Jayhawks had six boats in the Varsity 4+. Kansas A finished in fourth place and recorded a time of 15:31. Following behind was Kansas B which finished in sixth place and time of 15:40.

Kansas had two boats in the Novice 8+ and the second race of the day. Kansas A finished at 15:39 and in second place, while Kansas B came in fourth place with a time of 17:55.

On the second day, Kansas competed in Varsity 8+ and only race of the day with six boats. Kansas A placed third and finished in 17:53, which was four seconds shy of Tulsa in second place. Kansas B placed in fifth place with a time of 18:33.

Next for the Jayhawks, the team will go into winter training in preparation for the spring season.
