Kansas undefeated on day one of pre-qualifying draw

TULSA, Okla. – Malkia Ngounoue, Sonia Smagina and Maria Toran Ribes each started the ITA All-American Championships by winning two matches Saturday at the LaFortune Tennis Center and Michael Chase Tennis Center.

"The team competed really well today. We faced adversity, which is a good thing, because without being pushed, there is no way for us to improve. As we progress through the tournament, the most important thing is to compete and be great in the details. We are excited about the opportunities ahead."
