Kansas wins big against Johnson County

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas softball won its second exhibition match of their fall ball season big on Wednesday night, defeating Johnson County 28-2 inside Arrocha Ballpark.

It was a night filled with offense for the Jayhawks as 12 different players recorded an RBI on the night. The team was led by senior Sam Dellinger who finished with two home runs and a game-high five RBIs. Sophomore Lexy Mills had a good night on the mound as well finishing with four strikeouts over just two innings of action.

Next up for the Jayhawks is a matchup against Des Moines Area Community College on Sept. 24 at Arrocha Ballpark. Game time is set for 5 p.m.
