Kansas women’s 4x400 relay places 20th on day 2 of NCAA Championships

AUSTIN, Texas – The Kansas women’s track & field 4×400-meter relay team competed in the semifinal round of the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships at Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin, Texas on Thursday, where the quartet placed 20th overall.

The relay team of Mariah Kuykendoll, Jedah Caldwell, Marleena Eubanks and Honour Finley clocked in with a combined time of 3:37.26. Kuykendoll and Caldwell ran the first two legs of the relay with a collective time of 1:49.79, before Eubanks ran a 54.42-second third leg. Finley anchored the team home with a 53.06-second split to place eighth in the heat.

Kansas will continue action on Friday with freshman Treyvon Ferguson competing in the triple jump at 7:40 p.m. and junior Bryce Hoppel looking to continue his undefeated season as he chases the 800-meter title. Sophomore Alexandra Emilianov will conclude the Jayhawk action at the NCAA Championships on Saturday in the women’s discus at 5:05 p.m.
