Khmelnitckaia reaches the Oracle ITA National Summer Championships Quarterfinals

FORT WORTH, Texas – The University of Kansas senior-to-be Nina Khmelnitckaia continued her strong play Sunday as she advanced through two more rounds of the Oracle ITA National Summer Championships.
 
In singles play, Khmelnitckaia took on NC State’s Bianca Moldovan and defeated her 6-3, 7-5, to reach the round of 16. Khmeltnitckaia then matched up against Lexi Keberle of Wisconsin, who the Jayhawk beat 6-2, 6-4, to advance to the quarterfinals.
 
Action continues Monday for Khmelnitckaia when she will take on the University of California Berkeley’s Olivia Hauger in a women’s singles’ main draw quarterfinal match at 9 a.m. Doubles play continues later in the day as Khmelnitckaia partners up with fellow Jayhawk Janet Koch, and will take on Meghan Kelley and Anna Rogers at a time yet to be announced.
