Kopatich recognized by Kansas’ Emily Tyler Center

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas women’s basketball senior Kylee Kopatich was named the 2019 Woman Student Advancing in Athletics during the annual KU Women’s Hall of Fame Induction ceremony hosted by the Emily Taylor Center for Women & Gender Equity.

During the 2018-19 season, Kopatich Kopatich appeared in 30 of 31 games in her final season in the Crimson and Blue. The Olathe, Kansas native averaged 12.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.9 steals. Kopatich shot 41.2 percent from the field, while connecting on 35.5 percent of her attempts from long range. At the conclusion of her senior campaign, Kopatich earned All-Big 12 Honorable Mention honors.

Since 1970, the Emily Taylor Center for Women & Gender Equity has honored a select group of women to be inducted into the University of Kansas Women’s Hall of Fame. For the 50th anniversary of this prestigious honor, the ETC will celebrate KU’s rich legacy of phenomenal women who have defied limiting stereotypes and barriers to pave the way for those who follow in their footsteps.
